Chika Eke was born in Sacramento, CA. She completed her studies in Mechanical Engineering at University of Portland and is currently working on her Masters in Mechanical Engineering at Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). Ms. Eke is a National Science Foundation (NSF) Graduate Research Fellow. She has conducted research and worked at MIT in the Man Vehicle Lab, the University of Pittsburgh in the Human Engineering Research Lab, and finally at NASA Glenn and Sikorsky Aircraft as an intern. Chika is also has held leadership positions at Biomedical Engineering Society as Vice President and Engineering World Health Club as Treasurer when she was at the University of Portland. She likes to give back to her community in the capacity of working as a mentor with girls at the Walter Denney Youth Center.
