DeMarcus Thomas is a native of Columbia, MS. He attended Mississippi Valley State University where he received a Bachelors degree in Computer Science in 2010. DeMarcus then obtained a Master’s degree in Computer Science from Norfolk State University in 2012. In the summer of 2012 DeMarcus was selected as a GEM Fellow and interned at Pacific Northwest National Laboratory. Currently, he is attending Mississippi State University where he is pursuing a Doctoral degree in Computer Science. He is also working as a Research Associate II at the Distributed Analytics and Security Institute at Mississippi State University. There he is performing research in Machine Learning, Malware Analysis and Forensic Timeline Analysis. He has also held internships at locations such as Fermilab National Accelerator Laboratory, Caterpillar Incorporated, Oak Ridge National Laboratory, and Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory.
