Shanice C. Brown is a 2015 GEM Fellow pursuing a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering. She received her B.S. in Chemical Engineering from Prairie View A&M University in 2014. During her undergraduate studies, Shanice worked as a research assistant mainly focusing on Ultra-High Temperature Ceramics in Hypersonic Flight; she also served two terms on the Region V Executive Board for the National Society of Black Engineers and was a two-time collegiate bowling conference champion. Shanice received a Post Baccalaureate position at Los Alamos National Laboratory where she worked on Mixed-Potential Sensors for Vehicle Emissions Monitoring.
