As Associate Dean for Finance and Operations in the College of Engineering at Carnegie Mellon University, Botti manages a total budget of approximately $195M that includes over $80M of sponsored research expenditures. She is responsible for all operations of the college (currently comprised of 14 departments and units), including budgeting and financial planning, human resources, capital projects, establishing/enforcing policies and procedures, and monitoring compliance with internal and external regulations. Botti oversees the development and implementation of global programs and leads various strategic initiatives. She is the Carnegie Mellon University representative to the National GEM Consortium and is currently serving as the VP, Audit on the GEM Executive Committee. Botti is also a member of the Board of Directors of The Children’s Institute where she serves on the Quality, Finance and Planning Committees.
Prior to coming to Carnegie Mellon University, Botti spent 13+ years with KPMG LLP/KPMG Consulting/BearingPoint providing audit and consulting services to U.S. government and higher education clients. She was also the Manager of Cost Accounting and Analysis at the University of Pittsburgh for four years. Botti is a CPA licensed in Pennsylvania and holds a PMP credential.
