Ranysha Ware

Ranysha Ware is an Associate Staff member of the Cyber Analytics and Decision Systems group at MIT Lincoln Laboratory. She earned her BS in Computer Science from the State University of New York (SUNY) New Paltz, where she mentored and tutored underrepresented students in STEM fields throughout her undergraduate career. She earned numerous awards for her academic achievement and community engagement including the Louis Stokes Alliances for Minority Participation (LSAMP) Outstanding Scholar’s Award, and the SUNY New Paltz Outstanding Graduate Award. In 2013, Ranysha graduated from SUNY New Paltz and attended UMass Amherst as a 2013 GEM Fellow sponsored by UMass and MIT Lincoln Laboratory. After graduating from UMass Amherst and two successful internships at MITLL, Ranysha joined MITLL full time in 2015.

Many members of the GEM Community do not seem to know that the GAA even exists or it’s purpose. Serving as Membership Chair would be a great opportunity for me to raise awareness of the GAA, stay involved with promoting the GEM mission, and give back to the GEM community.
