Shameeka Emanuel’s career spans almost 10 years at Intel Corporation where she has held a variety of positions. After completing her BS degree in Systems and Computer Science at Howard University and her MS in Computer Engineering from North Carolina State University, Shameeka was hired into Intel’s premier one-year engineering rotation program. Upon completion of the program, Shameeka started within Intel’s Server Design group where she held various positions. During this time she worked to validate four processors in the Xeon family in various capacities (pre-silicon and post-silicon). Her most recent position in that group was on the memory controller validation team where her area of expertise was RAS features. Shameeka was involved with recruiting activities for this group for many years and just last year took on the new role as the Diversity Scholar Program Manager in the Global Talent Organization College Division. This position is especially rewarding because Shameeka was also an Intel Scholar prior to joining the company. Shameeka is married with 3 young children. In her spare time Shameeka enjoys spending time with family and friends as well as playing the trumpet, singing and dancing.
I wholeheartedly believe in GEM’s Mission. A Diverse workforce is the secret sauce to success! I would love to take on the role of Regional Chair – North West to help gather and galvanize the GEM Alumni troops in this area. My vision is that GEM Alumni in this area could act as advocates and success metrics for The National GEM Consortium which could lead to new corporate partnerships. Thank You so much for considering me for this position.
