Eric Huey, Ph.D. is a native of Baton Rouge, La. He received a BS degree in Electrical Engineering from Southern University and A&M College in Baton Rouge, LA in 2008. A MS in Electrical Engineering from the University of South Florida in 2011 and a PhD in Electrical Engineering from Florida International University in 2013. Dr.Huey was a GEM Fellow during both his masters and doctorate matriculation. As of current, Dr. Huey resides in Portland, OR where he is employed by the Intel Corporation. Dr. Huey works at Intel Corporation as a Process Engineer where he is involved in the manufacturing of microchips for computing devices.
Dr. Huey believes its important to give back to GEM, in order to provide opportunity’s to other capable students. Doing so fosters a spirit of giving and continues a tradition that involves Alumni sharing their resources with an organization that provides support for the future of STEM leadership.
