2010 ANNUAL BOARD MEETING RESULTS

Pursuant to GEM's bylaws a meeting of the Board of Director shall be held once annually. The 2010 GEM Board of Directors Meeting was held on August 10-11, 2010 fully sponsored by The MITRE Corporation. Referendum Results:

The board meeting also featured a GEM Fellow Technical Competition, Membership Workshops, and a Closing Awards Luncheon sponsored by Intel featuring a master of ceremony presentation by GEM's most notable Executive Director, Dr. Howard Adams.


2010 CLOSING AWARDS LUNCHEON

GEM ConferenceThe Annual Board Meeting concluded with an off-site Closing Awards Luncheon sponsored by Intel Corporation at an exclusive restaurant in Tyson's Corner Virginia.  It was a great celebration at the end of the a successful meeting.  Linda Wells-Hott, a former GEM employee, was honored as she retires from Intel Corporation.  Representatives from Howard University, Stanford University, The United Negro College Fund, The National Society of Black Engineers, Intel Corporation, and of course The National GEM Consortium gave tribute.  Winners of GEM's first annual Technical Presentation Competition was also announced.
