A prestigious forum for stimulating debate on bold solutions to advance graduate education, the Annual Board Meeting & Conference creates a platform to raise nationwide awareness of its mission, partners, and Fellows. This is the “must attend” event for advocates who want to transform how the United States educates and prepares engineering and science talent for advanced leadership careers, particularly among our nation’s native born, historically underrepresented ethnic groups. Like GEM, our Annual Conference offers innumerable opportunities for all of our partners.
Potential GEM Fellows will meet role models and learn about the benefits of graduate school in the STEM fields. Current GEM Fellows will explore future possibilities. Members of our 4,000 person GEM Alumni Association (GAA) can connect with their peers. University and Employer Members will not only gain perspectives on the organizational benefits of sponsoring or hiring GEM Fellows; they’ll also become energized by the constellation of past, present and future Fellows in attendance.
The annual meeting is the access point to diverse graduate student talent and a forum to discuss issues that directly impact under-represented students pursuing graduate STEM degree. Many can benefit from and add value to this post valuable event:
Contributing to GEM Annual Conference events will create greater awareness of the shortage of skilled talent in science and technology as well as highlight the importance of having a diverse workforce. For more than three decades GEM has strived to connect highly qualified minority graduate students to a national network of more than 150 top-rated universities, government research facilities, and leading multinational corporations. GEM has done this by providing effective programs that increase the retention and graduation rate of GEM Fellows.
If you’re in the STEM field and want to be competitive today and in the future, the National GEM Consortium Annual Conference is the place to be.
